Our Ideas

In our group discussion for our project today in class, we came up with a few ideas about how we should make our creation story. Bear with me because they are kind of stupid. Our story has an overall "creator" who draws parallels to a sort of God. We kind of draw elements from every type of religion, for instance our creator creates three different "demi-gods" for lack of a better term and those help create the different elements, and the animals. This can be compared to the Hindu religion where there are many different gods who are in charge of different things. The creator in our story creates the humans, which can be compared to Christianity, where God created man in his image. We used some of the ideas from the summation article that we read, for example, one of the demi-gods in our story is a female, and thus is treated inferior. So, in creating our story we haven't really drawn inspiration from any one story but have been drawing ideas from all types of creation stories.
